Train to Tell the Story Only You Can Tell

At Hero Project Network™, we believe those closest to the story should be the ones telling it. That’s why we train veterans, first responders, and their families to become powerful storytellers, ethical journalists, and community truth-bearers.

Whether you’ve never held a camera or you’re ready to sharpen your skills behind the mic or the lens, this program equips you to serve differently—through storytelling that heals, educates, and ignites change.

Built for Those Who’ve Lived the Story

This program is built for:

  • Veterans seeking a new mission after service

  • Active-duty military and first responders wanting to process and preserve their experiences

  • Military and first responder family members with stories to tell or skills to grow

No journalism experience required—just a heart for the mission and a willingness to learn.

Your Journey Starts Here

Our hybrid program combines virtual learning with optional in-person workshops, giving you the flexibility to train from anywhere. Tracks range from 4 weeks to 6 months and are completely free to selected participants thanks to our generous donors.

You'll receive access to basic gear, software, and hands-on publishing opportunities. Best of all, you'll be mentored by Emmy and Peabody award-winning professionals and veterans who understand the story behind the service. By the end, you’ll have portfolio-ready work, publication credits, and a path to keep serving as a storyteller.

Whether you’re called to the camera, the pen, or the editing suite—this is your chance to turn lived experience into lasting impact.
